Pinecone Bird Feeder

If you're looking for a way to be kind to nature, look no further! This simple pinecone bird feeder is a perfect option, and all you need is string, a pinecone, peanut butter, and bird seed!

Step 1

Prepping the pinecone

Grab your pinecone and securely tie a piece of string around the top to prepare it for hanging it up outside! Always do this first, or it could get messy.

Step 2

Peanut Butter

Now, take your peanut butter and smother the pinecone with it until it looks like the image shown here.

Step 3

Birdseed

Once there's enough peanut butter on your pinecone, put the birdseed in a bowl and roll the pinecone in it so that the peanut butter is almost completely covered in seeds.

Step 4

Hang them up!

Finally, take your bird feeder outside and tie the string onto a tree branch. You might want to check on it every couple of days, and repeat these steps if the birds eat all the seeds and/or peanut butter.
