Self-Kindness

Being kind to others is a beautiful thing that can have a big impact. However, if you want to be kind to others, you have to be kind to yourself too. You may not realise it, but you are an amazing person, and you deserve to take care of yourself. With that being said, here are some self-care tips and tricks to help get you back on track. After all, that kindness has to start somewhere. Let it start with you.

Cooking/Baking

If you enjoy cooking and/or baking, then this should be a great activity to help you relax and unwind! Make yourself a nice treat, or cook for the whole family! Either way, make sure you take care of yourself.

Go for a walk!

Perhaps the outdoors is more your speed. If so, why not take a relaxing stroll down the road, or in a nearby park or forest? Nature is good for the soul, and fresh air is good for the body and mind. Have fun out there!

Practice mindfulness

Practicing mindfulness has a proven positive effect on the mind! A good mindfulness resource is Headspace, which you can find on Netflix, as an app, or as a website.

Relax

Take part in an activity that helps you feel more at ease, and relieve any tension that you might be carrying around with you. You could listen to music, watch your favourite TV show/movie, play a board/card game, or even just take a nap! Enjoy!
